Headshots

Please contact Todd Clark for headshots for your website.

Accessibility

Another ongoing responsibility we share is keeping our web content compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).  This ensures that all of our information is available for all web users.

The most common (and easiest to fix) violations include:

  • Making sure your images have appropriate ALT text.
(ALT text describes the appearance and function of an image on a website.  It can be added in the image properties in dotCMS.)
  • Proper use of heading (H1, H2, H3...) styles in your content
  • Using descriptive link text or link tags

If you have videos on your site, please make sure they include closed captioning.  If you need help creating caption files, please see Todd Clark.  Their office uses Rev.com for reliable captioning at only $1 per video minute.

Great Accessibility Resource
Penn State University’s accessibility website is a great resource for creating accessible content. You can visit their page here: http://accessibility.psu.edu/webpagetools/. Please spend some time auditing your content for any “blocker” issues as listed on the Penn State website.  They have a great set of examples and best practices for any situation.

Degree Information

Remember, any changes related courses, degrees are sent to the Enrollment Management office (formerly Registrar's office) for review. Your contact person for this is Markus Zielsdorf or Jesse Blankenship.
